The Following User Says Thank You to sic0048 For This Useful Post: | ||
I have used several versions of the command line Resktop, but most recently have tried the 1.5 CLI version.
My problem lies with the fact that I seem to loose the RDP connection everytime the screen goes to sleep. It appears that while you can lengthen the default sleep time out to 5 minutes, there is no way to prevent the screen from actually going to sleep.
So does anyone know of a way to either 1) make the screen not sleep (I don't mind if the backlight dims) or 2) make sure the RDP connection is retained even when the screen goes to sleep.
As a side note - it only seems to loose the connection when I am on battery power. If the N800 is plugged in, it doesn't seem to loose connection. I'm not sure if the screen simply doesn't go to sleep, or if there is some Nokia power setting that is actually causing the RDP connection to be lost when the screen sleeps on battery power.
Any suggestions?
PS - while it might look like I know what I am doing in linux due to my success with getting the N800 to autoconnect, I infact am a linux idiot (that is why I created those detailed directions - to help other linux idiots like myself). So try to be as specific as possible with answers.
