So this project is parked here:

https://garage.maemo.org/projects/maemo-pan

I already installed the .deb package, but now i have no idea how to apply the .patch and .diff file.

And also i was wondering how this programm actually works, what commands and all.

This here is my las resort, i already spent 3 searching for an answer,
help lps?

PS: half n00b at work here!- Beware of too complicated terms, dont be afraid to post them though, i'll ask if i dont understand something.
I know what PAN is and i know a lot of terms. But i'm relatively new to Linux, and my new shiny Nokia N810

Oh, you didn't mention pan with a computer. Most use of PAN is between a NIT and a phone.

What operating system is running on your notebook?

And what are you using for Bluetooth on the laptop? Is it built in (what kind of notebook do you have) or are you using a Bluetooth USB dongle (what kind)?

Its Vista 64 bit or osx leopard on a MacBook Pro. Its a built in bluetooth adapter.

So i'm quite flexible with operating systems.

The reason why i want to PAN with my Laptop is because it has a stronger WiFi antenna than the N810, and its standing on a good reception spot.

With a PAN i could take my N810 to bed (i know this sounds wrong) and surf the web from a practically 0% WiFi spot.

So this could come in really handy!

Do you know how to pair a Bluetooth device under Mac OS X?

(I know, that's for connecting from the Mac to a phone.)

Oh, here's a relevant article: http://www.macosxhints.com/article.p...31117142051675
