ive been learning how to make this media streaming on my N800. i came across a thread thats about mediautils. and been learning it eversince.
whaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! i cant do it...

You're going to have to give a little more information than that if you want help.

The pakcage has a fairly workable readme, did you start there?

yeah i read it... but i lock knowlege on linux...
i downloaded mediaserv hoping i can install it but i download a file that windows cant read...
i read the read me and it says that...

Before running it for the first time, run the 'install.sh' script in the
tarball. This copies various static files to ~/.mediaserv.

then i kinda..." what the F**K! " i dont even know what is tarball is...
now im reaserching reading some stuff for how will this work for me...

Oh, Windows. . . .

Just use TVersity or Orb or one of the million other transcoding media servers available for Windows.

yeah im on windows! now i know that this only runs on linux... gonna have ubuntu installed on my laptop. i really wanna learn linux... its cool when you know linux!
