Has anyone mounted their N810 on a motorcycle? What affect do the vibration have on the device if any?

We had a question like thiis many moons ago. The vibration is probaby ok, but crashing and burning might not be. If you just used it to listen to 'Born to be Wiiiild' you might be ok.

My thank you was an accident.. I can't think of anything specific that would be damaged, but commom sense is that you treat expensive items as gently as possible.

Caveats:
It's not waterproof
It's not vibration-proof. The battery clips inside my Nokia battery pack broke, I think due
to the pack moving around (about 1/2mm). In general I thought most modern electronics was pretty good - older, bigger stuff with large circuit boards and not enough fasteners may have problems (years ago I worked with some military stuff where we tested this).
The audio is not loud enough to hear while riding, and a stock BT headset isn't either.
I've used GPS and maps, also aircrack and wireless tools to map WLAN coverage around
campus at work.

I have a "Dock and Rock" on my Harley, and the stock vehicle mount is also that standard (ADS?) 4 bolt, but I need to add some shock-mounts between. Things will be shaken loose or wires will break (metal fatigue). But it does do GPS, MP3 (last sunday was my first iPod-less ride using the n810). It is NOT waterproof so some kind of protection (I'm looking for large party baloons) is needed.
You will need power if you are going to do things actively over 5 hours. I can log GPS (to kml with my vehicle data link traffic) for over 10, but playing podcasts will drain things faster.
Having it in a tank bag or in an inner pocket with RadioShack "nascar" earphones (they have foam fronts that look and act like those in-ear hearing protectors) if your speakers aren't loud enough.
