The implementation is endian-specific, and so a database built on i386 will not work on a big-endian architecture like the internet tablet's ARM.

The other option is to get a complete ready to use Virtual Earth database for the Eastern US, or even the world. Space is not an issue, since I have an 8gb add in card I can use. I know someone wrote a perl script once that would convert google maps to a ready to use maemo mapper database. I'm hoping someone did something like that for Virtual Earth. Any help is appreciated. I looked around for other possible solutions on the forums (gawds, I searched for like 45 minutes) but didn't find anything, so I'm hoping someone can help. Thanks.
