Hello;

PCSuite is complaining that my 770 is running in "non-compatbility mode" and that I should change it from the UI on the 770.

I should note that I recently applied the kernel patch for recognizing 2 gb mobile mmc (which appears to be working).

Any help would be appreciated.

br,

gb

PCSuite is for Nokia PHONES

I ahve a Nokia 6682 and when the PCSuite software is running and you plug in your 770 it tells you it is in combatibility mode, it thinks it is a phone. I am not sure what your trying to do with PCSuite, but you can exit it from the taskbar (by the clock) before plugging in the 770.

PCSUITE 6.81 clearly recognizes the 770. Give it a go...

And, I may be on crank..but I am sure it was allowing for file transfer until I hosed my OS attempting to add the kernel update for the 2 gb (needed to start from scratch).

Anyone?

what added functionality does PCSuite give you, I am unsure why you would want to hook it up to PCSuite?

You can copy files using explorer without PCSuite, you would not use it to install applications or deal with mail or messaging?

I was going to say maybe your on crack, but I guess I am old school, I guess everyone is smoking meth now? Crank Head!!

You can use samba without kernel upgrade or adding software!!

ok..hold on a sec..what I said was...

I thought PCSUITE recognized my 770 and allowed for copying of files prior my upgrading of the kernel on the 770 to recognize a 2gb mmc card. Now PCSUITE is complaining about running in non-compatibility mode.

I am not getting the 770 showing up as a mass storage device (as indicated in manual) because of PCSuite is hijacking the 770.

Absolutely, I can simply turn off pcsuite and get it to work. I was just wondering if someone had pcsuite running successfully. WHy would it be recognized at all?

OK..then I guess it didn't work. Thanks for verifying.
I have a Nokia 6820, E62, N80, 9300, 8801, E70 (prime). That's why I wasn't sure whether I was dreaming or not. I am just getting into the 770.
