You have to hit the "Edit" button before you can edit anything. I'm falling into that trap everytime, too.

Another quirk in the user interface is that it doesn't save automatically, and it lets you quit without warning. How many times did I enter a complicated password with the satisfied feeling of having it backed up once and for all, just to find it missing when I needed it later.

Having said that, it is one of the essential apps for me, too, so thanks for the good work. It is much appreciated!

I'm cannot install passwordsafe from the maemo download site, if I attempt it directly from the Maemo site, or download the file to my N810 I get an "Operation failed" error.
Any suggestions?
/edit - solved
did the repostory change, still could not load from the site but it did show up on the list of installable applications and loaded.

The UI on OS2008 is pretty terrible.

Is this package still actively developed for? It seems to me like its an application that people want so hopefully they can get the issues fixed soon.

I do agree (my fault !) but it was a quick version with a lot to do to make it run on 2008 (hildon Widget disappeared)
Sorry !

Without the ability to import at least a .csv file, this is pretty useless for me. I have hundreds of passwords from over the years, and I'm not about to re-enter them one by one.

Yes, import/export would be very useful.

Fred, did you check out the problem with using the same password database as Windows version uses?

Password Safe on winXP and keepassX on Mandriva work great. I've been using a portableapps version off my flashdrive on windows systems then seamlessly opening the flashdrive hosted .kdb file with an installed keepassX on my nonWindows boots.

When I copy the .kdb over too my N800/OS2008, it Password Safe appears to open the database file but invariably returns a "wrong password" error. The database is AES, does not need to be twofish or am I missing something else?

If anyone has a fix for this I'd happily live without a sync app if I could at least scp the database back and forth as needed.

UPDATE:

It apears, based on more reading, that the issue with Password Safe is due to lack of further development so it won't open the keepass newer version databases. I'm seeing Password Safe removed from my install as soon as the replacement is tested.

Now I have keepassX but no QT4 for n800/os2008 which seems to be the next brick wall to climb over. I also noticed that keepassx is not returned when searching the garage.. is it a project still in stealth mode or some such thing?

Has anyone found where the timeout for Password Safe is kept?
It's too short for me.
