I've been trying to install aumix, but I'm running into several problems.
From the thread I was reading it is supposed to be in maemo extras. I have that in my catalog but aumix doesn't show up in my installable apps list. When I refresh the list I get several errors in the log. I'm getting 404 Not Found for repository.maemo.org/dists/chinook/diablo/binary-armel/Packages.gz, repository.maemo.org/dists/chinook/user/binary-armel/Packages.gz and repository.maemo.org/extras/dists/chinook/diablo/binary-armel/Packages.gz.

I did some searching and found aumix was supposed to be in the elkins.org repository so I added it but aumix still doesn't show up.

Still determined I tried apt-get install aumix-gtk. This gave me some dependency errors and instructed me to run apt-get install -f, which I did.
It then wanted to install flash-and-reboot initfs-flasher and kernel-diablo-flasher. At that point I stopped; I wasn't sure about these packages as they sounded serious .

I did search here but didn't find anything relevant. I'm running diablo on an N800. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What does your distribution field look like? . . . .

Did you try googling the apt-get -f install issue? The answer to that is plastered practically all over the internet.

Distribution is chinook diablo.

I did look up look up what apt-get -f install was for but not about the error. I just did now and found something about the osso-software-version-rx44 package exists twice. The solution was to run apt-get -f install but that's what I was doing when I got the error!

I'm well out of my linux knowledge here. I still don't understand why after adding the elkins.org repository aumix doesn't show up. And I don't understand why I'm getting all these errors in the app manager.

I'm off to do more searching...
Thanks.
