I'm not sure what exactly you mean by "into a pc".. it is a PC.. a PC with 400mhz ARM processor and 128MB ram.... but:

You can hook up external Hard Drives.. can even make it Mobile
External Keyboards and Mice also work..

You can also make it a server

And there is preliminary support for going to a monitor

Does any of that help?

i think it was thoughtfix who did some stuff with the 770, but the n810 is more or less self contained comparble to the eee pc or apple air.

what i mean by turning it into a pc is to have the start buttom in the bottom left hand side and fog it to operate like my home pc.

No.

Because it runs a pretty open distribution of Linux, the Internet Tablet can be used as a Linux PC, but it can't run Windows or other software compiled for x86 processors like what are in most desktops and laptops.

For that matter, it also can't run closed Linux programs that are available only for x86 processors.

Well yes you can make it 'look' like a PC.. you can load debian and modify gnome to 'look' like Windows XP...

That doesn't mean it'll actually OPERATE like your Windows PC... thank heavens...

It'll be better

You probably saw a youtube video that played with rdesktop.
http://tabletblog.com/2007/01/770-fu...dden-hack.html it was a joke of sorts but it can be done to a point. You need to have an actual pc connected to your tablet (can't use the pc while you do) and you better have a bt keyboard. Otherwise you can use a vnc server, wich takes control of your pc, but letting you use it anyhow. (rdesktop looks Way better) Hope it was what you'de read.

Thoughtfix was joking and saying that he installed windows xp on it but at the end, he clearly says that it's only a remote connection to a Windows PC, that can be done with rDesktop.

oi, just what i said.......... ^^. rdesktop works GREAT on my home network, but accesing my pc from the intahnet has been far more of a challenge. not sure if its the router, but even with ports open its a no-no. logmein works, but its way slower, and lets face it, uglier.
hints and tips will be gladly taken.
