http://www.megafileupload.com/en/file/69176/gzip.html

maybe the problem appears due insufficient disk space, but not sure..

Sadly, many, many attempts at various times of day over the course of two days gets me to the download page where, clicking on the download button (after the required pause) always results in the same response from Foxfire:
The connection has timed out
The server at megafileupload.net is taking too long to respond.
Do you have an alternative way of getting this to us? E.g. the "Go Advanced" option below for posting a reply includes an icon for an "Attachment" option.

I attempted to edit CPAN.pm to change references to 'gzip --decompress --stdout' to 'zcat'. I still have a failure, but it is due to running out of memory.

**UPDATE**: I had missed the rest of the thread where 'gzip' was shared. That is a better fix.

I've tried getting CPAN to work with and without the supplied gzip without success. In both cases my n810 reboots, as far as I am able to tell due to running out of memory. I tried adding extra swap space using a memory card but this made no difference.

Does anyone have a working CPAN on the n810? I am starting to think it's impossible
