I’m currently using this kernel image allowing me to utilize a 2gb mmc card on IT2006 and all is good. Now, I would like the ability to access my nfs server on my home network from the 770. I assume that by applying the kernel image described here, it will break the support that I currently have for the 2gb mmc card – correct? Is anyone using the 2gb mmc kernal image and nfs concurrently under IT2006? If so, could you please share any tips or tricks on getting both to work? Does a kernal image exist that combines these two features?

Thanks in advance

I was fairly certain that the 2GB kernel had NFS support added, but I haven't tried it recently.

Correct: kernels replace each other entirely and do not combine features.

What I would recommend is using FUSE (http://maemo.org/maemowiki/FusePort) to handle remote access. SSHFS and SMBNETFS both provide NFS-equivalent features, really.

Well, yes, I have such kernel, but NFS (as well as uniput for kbdd, smbfs, cifs, mppe for PPTP, ...) is compiled as modules to save RAM if not used. The kernel is here
Code:

and modules here
Code:
http://fanoush.webpark.cz/maemo/modules-2.6.16-omap1.tgz
You must figure out which modules belong to NFS yourself :-)

Thank you both for your responses. I will be exploring both suggestions further.
