swapiness is about as low as possible, and SD wear-leveling is very effective.

I wouldn't worry about it. Besides by the time it might possibly burn out, SD cards 4 times the size will be half the price of what you paid for your current card.

i would say, max the setting and forget about it...

one thing tho, will the tablet refuse to unmount the internal card if swap is in use? like say if the back cover is removed or the usb cable inserted?

im asking this as the cpu load applet on the status bar keeps showing the "swap" indicator even tho it allows the internal card to be unmounted. could be a bug in the indicator tho...

I run a swap partition of 100 MB. Always sufficient.
