I have updated maemo mapper to 2.4.2.os2008 but I cannot find it anymore in the start menu.
It is still displayed in the Application Manager, so the shortcut is lost. How can I recover this. Uninstalling and reinstalling I did not try yet, as I a afraid my maps will be gone.

Any ideas on this ?

Same here. I still have the shortcut in Personal Menu, but it doesn't work. Launching from xterm for now

I tried uninstalling then reinstalling. It will not install successfully via the App manager or via Maemo downloads. I noticed it enabled Chinook Extras during the attempt.

I found the fix, for others:


I had the same, uninstall Maemo Mapper and install the link mensioned in http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...d.php?p=232003

look for "...that is todays version, I actually installed --> https://garage.maemo.org/frs/downloa...2008_armel.deb which worked fine."
