If I am nto mistaken ThinkOutside wont work. 770 support standard bluetooth interface for input devices, but ThinkOutside uses a proprietary protocol.

Last time I heard, the TO keyboard works with other Nokia phones. I have one so we'll see.

Yep, you are right. I have mixed the thinkoutside and freedom keyboards. (Freedom keybords need a special driver.)

Just tried my Think Outside with the bluetooth addon and it worked first time, in fact setup was easier than with my iPaq 4700.

Your Accessory Guide article says:

The Nokia 770 uses Nokia's BP-5L (1300mAh Li-Polymer) battery, the same battery that the Nokia 7100, 7700, and 9500 uses.
However, the official specifications for the Nokia 770 says it has 1500 mAh capacity.

In addition, the Nokia USA specification page for the 770 also says it has a 1500 mAh capacity but simply says it is a "standard Li-ion Battery" without identifying the battery's model number.

And none of the Nokia buy-online sites list the battery as an add-on accessory that you can add to your shopping cart as you can with the chargers.

So I'm wondering, is the 770's battery really a standard BP-5L?

I want to know because I think I'll probably want to pick up a spare, but I can't find anyone selling 1500mAh BP-5Ls.

Can someone who owns one confirm please? Thanks!

Well, here's something interesting. In anticipation of receiving the 770, I bought a larger RS-MMC and a spare BP-5L (official Nokia replacement, not a generic). On the battery itself, it says "1500 mAh 3.7V". The front of the packaging just says "Battery BP-5L" below the Nokia name. On the back, it has all the usual technical details in a variety of languages. There, it says "Battery, 1300 mAh Li-polymer (BP-5L)".

My guess is that all new BP-5L are 1500 mAh and they forgot to update the packaging,
which makes sense considering all new Nokia models are loaded with more power consuming features.

Certainly possible. For reference, much of the writing at the bottom of the battery is in Chinese (can't be sure) but there is a date that I presume may be the manufacture date and it's August 11, 2005 so it's pretty recent.

Does anyone know of a USB charger for the 770?

I've got a Nokia mobile phone USB charger with a CA-44 adapter from a local Orange shop. Works perfectly.
