1. I have set up Claws 3.6.1 to connect to my Google mail account via IMAP. Most is fine, but I would like to unsubscribe to the Spam folder, so that not even the headers of spam mails are downloaded. The context menu 'Unsubscribe folder...' does not work for me, though.

2. When typing on the stylus keyboard I can't choose the auto-completion suggestions and have to type each word fully instead. (It works with the big thumb keyboard, but I don't like that).

3. Is there any way to make Claws light the LEDs and/or play a sound when a new IMAP mail arrives in the INBOX?

Any ideas?

Cheers :-)

Instead, in this folder's menu (hold on the folder till menu pops up) go to properties > general and untick the 'scan for new mails'
That works for me.

strange.. usually it's the opposite.
stupid question, sorry; do you tick with the stylous the suggestion at the bottom?

on the main menu > configuration > preferences.. > Receive
and tick the options for leds/sound/pop ups (at the end) you prefer..

hope it helps.

Thanks, that seems to work.

Sure. But Claws does not take the clicked suggestion. Instead I have to type every letter.

Hmm, did that, but LED still does not light, neither does a sound play.

Go to the control panel > Display > LEDs
Are those enabled?
If not tick all except the first (Device on). You basically need only the email one but the others are nice too

About the sound, I can only think that you don't have the volume up. (?). Did you check this?

BTW, do you get the pop-up messages (if you enable them in claws)?
That should be the first to check.

All enabled, no notification, not even popups.

I have followed the same steps as kasimir and can reproduce the lack of LED notification on my N810 with latest firmware.

The LED/Sound options do not apply for imap connections. They do work for pop. I have already posted a feature request for this on the claws bugzilla.

Maybe it's specific to some IMAP implemenations/services only.
My work's provided IMAP makes the LED blink.

hope it helps..

Actually, I have discovered that the LED/Sound options DO work IF Claws is the client to first pull a new message from the server.
The problem I was having was that Thunderbird with its "IMAP Push" persistent connection was always the first client to get a new message.

With my other IMAP clients off, Claws sets the notification LED/sound.

When the thunderbird takes the message first you still see the new message in claws but as already read? If yes, I think there is an option in in Thunderbird's settings to correct this.
