Mister Ecua:

There's a big long thread for the RTComm packages, perhaps go over there and post your problems. People probably won't see your questions about RTComm in the N810 Wimax thread.

I just ordered the n810wimax from amazon for 420 shipped. How easy is it to install apps on it? is is pretty much the same procedure as the n810 diablo? i'm a super newb here. Can i just click on the download button from the maemo.org website? or is it running an older firmware?

Here in Chicago just confirmed the speeds of 2.09 - 5.05 with 5 tests on http://mobilespeedtest.com (full battery and no other internet apps running). Attached Screenshot.

I have noticed that while in the center of some of the larger footprint high-rise buildings in Chicago at ground level or close to ground level, I cannot maintain or obtain a XOHM signal - I do pick up a strong 3G signal on my Nokia E71 in the exact same location.

Note: Chicago XOHM is still not rolled out or supported.

Same here. My N810 W.E. has NEVER been able to get a GPS signal. And maemo-mapper just searches for a receiver, not even for a satellite! The Maemo config-> GPS part just searches for a signal and never can determine its location.

The N810WME is currently sold in NL for 300 EUR. But its not clear if it'll work with local WiMAX networks.

The N810WE (at least in the states) runs on 2.5 GHz, and in the Netherlands is 3.5 GHz. Perhaps is a WiMax network on 2.5 GHz or maybe the N810WE there is different. Either way, let us know!

Oops. They're sorted wrong. They're actually plain N810. My mistake...
