I've also got one of the 3G phones from Cingular. I've only had it about a week so far but I'm really happy with it.

So, what I did was pretty simple. First I paired the LG and the Nokia.

Next I went under Tools-> Connection Manager

Then, in Connection Manager click the tab at the top, and select
Tools->Mobile operator setup wizard

This will then walk you through the default settings for most wireless providers. I had Google for Cingulars settings. But after a bit of messing around I got it all sorted out. And now its pretty fantastic!

Let me know if this helps out or not.

that has nothing to do with vodafone.
that is the information what services your phone supports.
so that is only an information abot your phone.

goto: system - steuerung - click on steuerun to bring up the menu.
select optionen - netzbetreiberassistent and select vodafone.

try that and tell if it woks. hope that helps.

Hi count zero,

thanks for you info

the problem is with the XDA Trion -

data communication = no -> unfortunately does not set on yes

tested with a Nokia UMTS telephone - no problem - it set the parameter on yes

workaround = XDA Trion & Nokia 770 - connect over Wlan directly

Wlan Setup know how = unfortunately not

i think to go to internet it has to support dfü netzwerk.
datenübertragung is only for sending pictures you made with the phone to the 770.
but im not sure about this one.

what operating system has the xda trion?

thats the problem.
the 770 dont likes winmobile.
There has been a fix for this, but only for 770 with os 2005.
maybe it works with the 2006 os too.

dont know if there are any news related to winmobile and the os 2006, sorry.

Hi,

i have a old Nokia 7710 - the setup over bluetooth with the Nokia 770 is very simple and its run.

the internet connect is slow (gprs) - but it functions

thank you for your assistance

Fidibus

It's a pity that the XDA Trion does not function with UMTS

I have a very recent T-Mobile Vario 2 (HTC Hermes / TyTn / Dopod 838). The process was amazingly simple.

- Pair the handsets
- Go through the built-in Setup Wizard for the Operator.

It works up to HSDPA speeds, and the range is ironically better to the Vario by Bluetooth, than the Vario can normally reach by WiFi.

Some settings to note, which may vary from the setup wizard: I took these off the Vario's settings.

APN: general.t-mobile.uk
Call type: Packet
Dial sring: *99#
AT String: None needed
IP/DNS/etc: Server assigned

Cheers
