iPods Touch do not have cameras integrated, so video recording is just not so easy to achieve. Maybe in iPhones, but that's another story (the N8x0 are not phones)

And yes maybe some stuff can be done by jailbreaking it, but that means to do something geeky, which I tried to exclude.

Ah true, I keep forgetting the iPod Touch lacks a camera. But I know for sure the iPhone has one. (it does the job ok). But I'm curious how geeky do you think jailbreaking is, compared to the hacking around we might do on the tablet?

After checking out the options for video recording I can't help but chime in to say that it ain't so easy on the N810 either

Not until I can use my 150MB iSilo document, we don't. If they get busy and add VFS support a lot of these other issues will fade, since we can just use the device as a Palm+.

I should mention the iPhone/iPod Touch iSilo works really well, it's super fast, plus has built in networking, so you can copy stuff to it via WebDAV. If the fonts were a little nicer it would be the best ebook reader I've ever seen.
you're right.. instead of taking the 150mb file, i'm using the 30mb file, which works...
but sure.. i miss the 150mb file on the n810
;-)

Why not with an app? Try videocamera

It is as easy as "record" and "play".

"A jailbreak is the act or tool used to perform the act of breaking out of a chroot or jail in UNIX-like operating systems or bypassing digital rights management (DRM). In the former case, it allows the user to see files outside of the filesystem that the administrator intends to make available to the application or user in question."

Geeky enough as to say that a "regular" guy won't even know what does the term means. Maybe there are plenty of "one click installs" now, but the point is that you shouldnt need to do that. At least on an N800 you don't need to (even though you can, and legally!!).

Are you saying that you've got it working on an N810? It's a bit flakey on my N800 but it's never worked on my N810 running Diablo; always freezes & causes reboots. Would absolutely LOVE to get it working.
