Hmm that might be why. I've noticed that when my tags were in Chinese they wouldn't work (I had to translate the words to english).

After installing the Canola2 Beta 10 upgrade or installing the new plugins which automatically upgrades your Beta 9 install to Beta 10 you are left with "My Music" and "My Photos" only. All other functionality of the application is lost.

This is probably happening because you are running diablo and installing a chinook package. To fix it , try the following

1. Use canola-cleanup to wipe out existing installation of canola
2. Enable your extras-devel repository, but make sure it only says diablo
3. Install canola from application manager.

This should fix the problem - I was in exactly the same situation as you for a long time, and after trying many different things, the above trick worked

I did exactly what you suggested and everything worked just fine: cleaning and then reinstalling let you have canola2 beta 10 perfectly working.

I tried stl's suggestion and I am still ending up with a Canola beta10 with just music and photos and no plugins.

Which repository (http URL) should I connect to?

Maybe I am not setting the repositories right, I am seeing Canola2 2.0.0-beta10-maemo3, is this the correct version to install?

I guess not since it isn't installing right.

Should there be other repositories I need to dump?

First of all, it is very important that you run canola-cleanup. Once you have done that, then the repository that I am referring to is

http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel
diablo
free non-free

..just like that. What you can do is, try disabling all the other repositories temporarily and see if that helps

Hi Guys I have uploaded a script to do the import to canola here.
I think it's time to check if it still valid, and to run to have it onboard.

search for the first thread on the subject I uploaded a python script made by Setanta (here in the office) that writes the opml to the database.
