You can..... Just no WiFi, no Power Management.

Also, I am confused. Android boots from Flash, but the userspace is in the SD card? Why can't it just boot from SD or Flash alone?

I can not try it now, i have to go to school

Android does not support jffs2 filesystem, thats why userspace is in sd-card

EDIT: and... the android does NOT boot from flash, it boots directly from mmc.

The most interesting thing for me is the is the updated Maemo kernel, 2.6.25. I wish they could get the wifi working, perhaps using the alpha OSS driver as Benson suggests...

EDIT: I've been thinking about this, and I guess I'm different from many hackers, in that I'm not terribly interested in the purely "proof-of-concept" stuff. I'm always asking, "yes, but what does that actually give me?" That's why I'm not too interested in Android; there's no killer apps for that platform that make it attractive to me, while Debian has all the coolest toys.

Tried this on an N800, got it to boot on first try, all nice until I get "program not responding" and hardware buttons not working and touchscreen not functional. So I port the touchscreen fix to the N800 (after a successful port last time with the prerelease) and the kernel doesn't work so I said "**** it".

But major props to the NthCode for producing a V.good N810 port.

wrt to the wifi driver, this kernel version does not have the required mac8011 (something like that, anyway) wireless stack for the driver to function.

Solca is working with newer android kernel that has wifi support.
