On this page (-> OS2008 -> "Bootmenu Installer" ) there are useful tips about updating systems with bootmenu.

i.e. On the App Manager 'Main View', click 'Check of Updates' --> then hit the little refresh icon in the lower right corner
I did that on my N810 & am still not seeing it. 'About Product' is still just showing 4.2008.36-5.

That was it. I had removed minigpsd a while back, but forgot about bluez-utils-test. After removing that too, the SSU installed.

Thanks!

Painless install, everything is working as it should be no loss of applications... I don't notice too much of a difference I guess I'll wait for a detailed changelog.

Should dual booters be using the app manager or using apt-get upgrade?

apt-get upgrade is never the answer unless you know exactly what you're doing (especially with Fring out there adding the will-brick-your-tablet SDK repository). Just re-flash the bootmenu after you upgrade.

I tried a reboot just for kicks, still no dice.

Lost internet radio station favorites after the upgrade, but no issues after restoring them from backup.
Could be caused from me not waiting for dual-boot instructions? No issues otherwise (aside from need to figure out "reflash the bootmenu"; off to search )

Rerunning the osv postinst as root should fix it. It's not really important if it doesn't bother you, though.

Code:
var/lib/dpkg/info/osso-software-version-<tab>
It depends on whether you're on an N800 (rx34), N810 (rx44) or N810W (rx48) and whether or not you're using unlocked. Tab-completion will tell you which one.

You can confirm quickly by checking osso-product-info.
