Anyone know of a secure and reliable service/method to send pdfs on my computer to a fax machine?

I don't know about its security, but you might look at eFax. If you sign up, use one of your lesser email addresses as you'll start getting spam faxes.

Thanks, I'll look into it. I need to use it to fax power of attorney forms.

I did some shopping around and picked myfax.com.

I pay them $10 a month (for the last year now) and haven't had one problem sending/receiving faxes as PDF attachments in emails.

On top of that, the phone number they gave me is a toll free 888 number so my business looks like it is really important with a toll free fax number.

Munk, how long does it usually take for a five page pdf fax to get to its location? I just sent one, and they called me to say they got the first page, but that's it. myFax says the order has not fully processed yet, so I assume the other four pages will be sent...sometime....

You didn't say in absence of a phone line, so it does satisfy your query. Somehow I doubt it's what you want, though?
