I'm on my CPU, uploading files when I noticed the stats of my memory card on the My Computer window; I right-click - Properties and it says my card has 7.5gb space and 6.54gb is being used, but when I double click that drive and highlight-all - Properties, it says only 4.83gb is being used and the disk space is 4.84gb. Wow, did I get jipped?
I feel like flipping out, Lol.

by default, windows explorer doesn't show hidden files. so, when you highlight all of the files you can see, you're not really highlighting all of the files that are there--that is, unless you've checked the box telling windows to "show hidden files and folders"--then something screwy's going on. in general, though, you can trust the pie chart.

EDIT: same story with maemo. the built-in file explorer doesn't show hidden files and folders. if you want to know how much free space you have, don't just "highlight-all".

As for hidden files, I always had it checked, but I'm going to be pissed if I can't fit anything in there now.

Do you have many tiny files? (1 or 2 kB) 'Cause tiny files take up more space on disk than their size.
