Thanks to the information generated in this thread, I've written a script for figuring out which /dev node is -actually- your internal or external card

And I hope it will be useful to some of you. It will be very useful for our Mer Installer, which will bring you Mer on one of your SDs instead of having to flash it (we will also provide jffs2 + kernel images.)
