Hello,

I tried to install perl on n810 (latest OS2008 version diablo). I enabled the chinook repo ( http://repository.maemo.org/chinook) to install perl.
apt-get install perl gave me the following error
Code:
Unresolved dependencies for:
perl: Depends on  perl-base (= 5.8.3-3osso7) but 
5.8.3-3osso9 should be installed

I finally managed to install perl.
I downloaded :

hi. i'm owner of shimi.info.

Packaages you installed are copy of maemo sdk repository.
please check below URLs, too.

http://repository.maemo.org/pool/maemo4.0/
http://repository.maemo.org/pool/mae...1/free/p/perl/

If more missing packages, search at Maemo SDK scratchbox.

ex) $ apt-cache search perl

I changed to the versions for N810 as you suggested.

The missing libxml-libxml-perl is not a problem for running perl unless you need this functionality.
I tried to port the XML::LibXml module to armel with scratchbox but I ran into problems which seem very hard to solve for me.

This is true for all modules. But I use XML::LibXML a lot on my desktop computers, and this is the thing I miss the most on the N810.

I haven't been involved in development so far. Could you give me some instructions where to report this issues.
