Hi,

I've just registered on this neat forum, cause I've just ebayed a nice N810 (2 Months old)

I wanna use it as an allround gadget
  • to watch Videos / Pics
  • to have some music
  • to learn & study with saved eBooks / PDFs
  • to check email / browsing at university
  • etc

What are the most recommended Software-Projects around for the N810?
What MicroSD is fast & good? (Should be 8+ GB)

Thx for your help.

BTW: I'm totally new to Linux...

Search this forum. Most/all of these questions have been answered before.

As for the card:
Bottom line is that, especially if you use that card for data (movies, books, etc) any card will do. Better get bigger than the utmost performance card. I, on the n800, use a non sdhc card (slow) and a class 2 card and get along very good.

Some people do report that certain cards eat battery life. Search for it though, I don't have any personal experience. I just wanted a 4GB card, so I went to the store and just bought the cheapest.
