First, need to tell you that I'm a newbie and not an expert.

I'm just relaying to you my experience with the Nokia N800. The following does not apply to the Nokia N810.

Only read the following instructions if proper functioning of the N800 webcam is important to you.

Also, please check with other more experienced users in this Forum before trying this. I cannot take responsibility if anything goes wrong after you follow these instructions.

When the N800 webcam is in use and twisted away from you, it is supposed to show the picture correctly (right Side without having to re-position the N800 unit.

Some people are having a problem with this not working after they upgrade to the latest OS2008 (right now, Version 5.2008.43-7).

I'd check your webcam and see if it is working right now and determine how important it is that it work for you or not.

Next, I would upgrade to the latest OS2008 and see if the webcam functions properly when it is twisted away from you. If it does, great, but if it doesn't and it is important to you, then re-flash your N800 back to OS2008 Version: 2.2007.51-3 as I did. The reason I did this was because I had lost functionality of the webcam when I upgraded to the latest version of OS2008 ( the "latest version" at the time was: OS2008 Version 5.2008.43-7).

If anyone has any other solutions, please let me know because I would love to use the latest version of OS 2008 but without losing webcam twist functionality.
