Gizmo, which used to work before I reflashed, now will not respond when the other end of the line answers the phone. I cannot apt-get remove --purge, because there is no dpkg-reconfigure in the file system.

I would like to reinstall the software, but I can't get rid of the settings. Is this possibly a gconf issue?

That did it, but I still can't get Gizmo to reliably complete a call. Maybe there's too much traffic because of New Year.
