new question: does it consume power when the applets like load-applet run in the background ?
my questions are:
1. if a hard-reboot is the easiest way to solve the problem?
2. if htop is the best to investigate the problem?

Palm 500, m505, Sony NR70V and N800 newbie.
8G internal card has 512M dos + 3.0G ext2 for clone os + 3.5G ext2 for easy Debian (just file system, easy-deb-chroot uninstalled) + >512 swap.
