This one will make the posts more compact (and remove the avatars). Remove the h2.subject rule if you don't like where it is placed.

Code:
@namespace url(http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml);

@-moz-document domain("www.internettablettalk.com") {
    #mmain div.mfcomment .vcard .avatar,
    #mmain div.mfcomment .vcard .photo {
        width: 0 !important;
    }
    #mmain div.mfcomment .description,
    #mmain div.mfcomment .userdetails {
        margin-left: 5px !important;
    }
    #mmain div.thanks_postbit {
        float: left !important;
        margin-top: -50px !important;
    }
    #mmain div.br {
        overflow: hidden !important;
    }
    #mmain div.mfcomment .spacer {
        margin-top: 5px !important;
    }
    #mmain h2.subject {
        font-size:1.2em !important;
        margin-bottom:-12px !important;
        margin-top:0 !important;
        text-align:center !important;
        width:100% !important;
    }
}
EDIT: Ouch, the code view is ugly

I like the new theme somewhat. It is nice to read on a tablet. However, i think puttting the title after every post is stupid, adds lenght, and thus makes it harder to use. Just take away the title after every post, and it will be good. I don't have a PC right now, so I am pure tablet for the next few days, so I cannot comment on the layout based on a full screen experience.

The grey fonts (the contrast issues people have already complained about) is starting to tire on me as well. But in general I actually find the new theme OK. I do wish though that hovering the mouse over a thread shows the first paragraph of the first post, as before, instead of just 'go to first post' which is not particularly useful.

That new colour theme just does not have enough contrast between titles and background and is hard to read fluently.

No, I have the same issue with microb on N800.

I have a minumum font size of 20, and that is probably causing that.

When doing html design, never assume a certain font size. A very common mistake which makes many pages broken.

Looked at this on the IT last night with both Tear and microB and have to say that this site looks a lot better for ITs now than it had in the past. To that end, this new default theme really does speak well for ITs.

Those code changes a few posts up are pretty interesting ones to play with; guess I need to find a PC to start working from so that I can test this stuff out.

Maybe omitting the first few lines of the post makes the page load and render faster.
And I think it's not possible to hover the "mouse" with the tablet.

The new theme loads much faster on the tablet, probably because there aren't any Flash ads. The large thread title above each post takes up too much room requiring a lot of scrolling to read a page. After getting used to the new colors, I do like the way they display on the tablet. I think it's much easier to read than the old dark theme.

Please file an enhancement request.

This is a subjective comment that a designer will never agree with.
