It was formatted 8G but it would not go past 2G; somehow, the file structure info did not match with the physical memory. So I had to declare they had voodoo magic on the card!
Low level format won't help.

This does sound just like the issue I have.

If the reading is NOT approx 31G, the low level formatting is NOT working, or it does NOT work on your card.

From your ebay link, 100% positive feedback from 568 customers. I did a random check, of the 1st 10 feedbacks, 8 of them returned the SD said it did NOT work, gave a + feedback as they eventually received the refund. Interesting, so the working rate for the card, is at most 20%! Apparantly, the 100% feedback is for good communication and fast refund, NOT for the card
[FEEDBACK cut]
I think I will take a pass.

Edit: I have NEVER seem such a 100% positive feedback!!! It is a joke!

Good call, I did read some but didn't notice the return rate. Thanks for this heads up.

BTW, all the input is welcome (not a dead horse tho perhaps a dead card!!!) I'll review the HP formatter as you suggest. Thanks.
