"WeFi for Nokia now supports touch-screen Nokia phones - 5800 etc. - try it out!" It has worked on Android for some time.
It states on their site that it now runs on:
Devices: Nokia E51, E60, E61, E61i, E65, E66, E70, E71, E90, N81, N81 8GB, N82, N91, N92, N93, N93i, N95, N95 8G
No idea if that means it either runs on N8xx devices as well - and/or if it means it can easily be ported to them.
For those that don't know, WeFi is a rather ingenious, free service that attempts to build a community of WiFi users 'out there'. It's better explained at their site: http://www.wefi.com/
It would be rather nice if this turns out to work on the N8xx and we could 'tag' ourselves with 'Maemo' or something and 'see' when another user is on a WiFi connection near me
