gokuman56: You need to change the two strings (that we discussed in the posts above) in the /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so file using a hex editor. If you cannot figure out how to do it using that information and the posts in this thread (or at least be able to ask specific questions about the process), I think you shouldn't try.

But if someone else wants to give a step-by-step howto for this, please go ahead.

Ok, for what it is worth, here is the hacked libflashplayer.so file.

Download it, gunzip it, make a backup of your current library, copy this one in instead.

  • Download this file.
  • Gain root.
  • CD to the directory where you downloaded the file.
  • Enter the following (note that there are only three commands, commands 2 and 3 both start with "mv"):
Code:
gunzip libflashplayer.so.gz
mv /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so.real
mv libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/browser/plugins
Report any sites that actually work with this hack that didn't work before.
