I download the software "Freemap" a navigation software for my area (http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/freemap_il) and at first it worked fine and then it crashed at some point when i tried to click on something and since then the software don't start. I click it in the extras menu but it doesn't even load.

I tried to uninstall it and reinstall several times and nothing...

Please help, it's the only software I really need and it's doesn't work...

The maps are probably corrupted. Remove the files in /home/user/.freemap-il/maps/ directory.

I think the software is very unstable... every 2 min it's stuck and again I need to delete the maps...

Is there anything to do?

Thanks.

Try running from xterm, and see if there are any interesting messages. Also, are you doing something specific when it happens? It does not happen to me that often.

First, what is the command to type in xterm (i'm very newbe...),

And second, I don't do anything unusual... for example clicking on roads... wanting to view details and then when i press the ok (yishur) button it's stuck...

thanks!
