I see there is no room in the schedule for my proposal, so the 3 "shut up and stay home" voters get their way.

Still, I will continue to develop this presentation for general use because I think it will have value nonetheless.

I think there's still a lot of unprocessed presentation proposals in queue, so I wouldn't count it out just yet.

I don't see where it would fit... although I *could* convert it into a 5-minute shot with the bulk of the material meant as "homework" (individual follow-up)...

Anyway, regardless of circumstances it will be completed and made available. Hopefully some will find it useful!

Yup, ~20 to process atm, for the community days. Thoughts about the submissions can be added in the discussion page.

Thanks Valerio. I added comments to the wiki to address Jamie's questions.

The latest evolution of the sneak peak slide:

This is pretty much final unless some wiseguy suggests something...

Oh, and it may be worthwhile to add: this started out being constructed at my direction-- I had an idea for format and content and stuck to that plan for quite some time.

But then it occurred to me: I have several good quotes from early participants in the discussion... why not wrap the format around those quotes, and let THEM dictate the flow!

So the essence is that even unwittingly, the community is driving the bus. Thanks guys... that means I can spend more time sleeping in the back row.

Heh... someone else actually took the time to hunt this up and click "shut up and stay home". So at least four anonymous, dedicated non fan clubbers.

Anyway my talk was reduced to lightning speed (5 minutes) which has meant some carving... but man, did I not realize how much! I had designed it to be flexible but fell into the trap of equating my reading speed with presentation speed-- d'oh!

But I managed to distill it down to 3 core concepts and I'll just pare away anything that doesn't directly support them. At least there will be less for interested parties to digest! And i could use the exercise in efficiency.
