Hi folks, I am a new member and thought that this may be of some interest.

"Stock Due: 8th October 2009! Preorders are currently being taken. Please preorder to allocate stock, or leave your email to be updated as stock arrives"

I have used this company once before when i purchased the GC900, despite the device being faulty and having to return it, their service was excellent.

since there are now more than 5-10 different "in-stock dates" (published in this forum and elsewhere), I consider them all equally meaningless...

I will phone kingofgadgets on Monday morning and post their reply with regards to their expected delivery date, to see if they're still sticking with the 8th (which i'm quite sure they won't be).

Maybe you are right, but they look a bit unprofessional because amongst features they have written digital compass, MMS and Symbian 9.4 as OS.

Called KOG's this morning to enquire about the N900 and it's release date. The gentleman informed me that the 8th Oct is still their projected date and there has been no news to doubt it from Nokia. I did explain that Nokia UK has advertised on it's site for a November release and he said that he was in contact with them 5 days ago and that the 8th is still the date he was given.

Also i ponted out the incorrect features that you highlighted Debian.

I shall call again at the end of the week for a further update and keep you guys informed.

Looks like they've updated the site, though it still says Symbian at one place.

I told him on the phone that he is leaving himself wide open for people ordering the device, and then having a wee fiddle with it for a week, only to return it because of it not being advertised correctly.

Not that i would dream of doing such a thing i hasten to add.

Not unexpectedly, it's now being shipped on the 20th of October.
