Hey everyone, called nokia USA on friday (2 days ago), the rep gave me the same story again, said phones would hit distributors mid october, as for the actual shipment, that depends on when you actually pre-ordered. Hope that helped, lets keep our fingers crossed!!!!!!!!!!!

are we not already on the 2nd week of October and isn't 2nd week considered to be in the mid of October? And Nokia is still chanting about mid-october release. WTF? I was actually hoping to see some actual date by this time.
I am not patient, as you can tell. ( I was sleeping when god was handing out the patience, hence I missed it.)

We all aren't patient. But i have a feeling it will be real soon Nokia don't want to piss off people who made this device the number 1 pre-order on amazon.com, the only reason why I'm a little more patient because i don't have the money right now lol.

LOL. This is going to be an awesome phone, and I believe it'll be worth the wait. Let's see how these initial reviews come out Now that people aren't under NDAs, we can get some hands on reviews (apart from the my-symbian & the mobile review (p)reviews.)

I'm also impatient, I do have the money for it, but it's going to hurt my wallet to part with the cash! LOL! So I'm kind of in a limbo sort of place right now. Come on and send the phone! But hold up! I want to really think about if I want to part with such an obscene amount of dough (doe? doh?) LOL.

and they cannot give official info outside press releases (court calls again)

so blame SEC & FIVA
Why would Nokia Europe care about the SEC? Just tell Europe when the phone will be available.

I just called the German Nokia shop here like 5 mins ago. Why did I call? Because I was informed Sept. 30 when I pre-ordered that on October 13 the N900 would be shipped to their distribution center in the Netherlands. Today I was told it will not be until October 30th. If I'm not mistaken, Italy and Germany were going to be the first markets to receive the N900. I asked to speak to someone higher up than just a call associate and a manager informed me that Oct 30 is a "set in stone" date for shipment to the distribution center, then 3-5 business days for it to reach me here in Berlin. Not holding my breath, but silently praying very hard it is true.

I reckon 30th Oct is the earliest any market will see it.

Thats nice for us in the Netherlands.

Some shops here have shipping from week 43 on their site. Nokia.nl still says: End of october.

Makes sense given Nokia did say they were fixing the memory issue before shipping. This means no boxed product was ready. At least it appears the actual box and literature are ready.

First week of November is the earliest I expect mine (Amazon + free shipping = later than normal).

BTW: Nokia has said nothing official about a launch date, so no date to reference if they are late or not. The word "estimate" is the ultimate marketing wiggle room point.
