Eh, that'd be a hardware change, as everything's fed through the battery. It can't just be fixed with a software change. It's a wiring issue. But who knows. Maybe they can come up with a slight change to the wiring and make a revision 1 that'll have that ability.

The Pandora battery works that way. You can power it on the charger alone, and remove the battery. MWeston (the HW designer) made it that way for convenience.
