Are you talking about Easy Debian? I don't know how to add LXDE shortcuts -- I don't see an option for it in the menus. I just create shortcuts for Personal Menu with commands like "debbie [appname]". I would prefer that anyway b/c you can get at your programs without needing LXDE.

Right, I'm saying is this dual booting to Debian or Easy Debian or what (although I'm not sure if it matters)? Also, it's possible that an answer might more forthcoming on a forum specifically dealing with LXDE...

The only way I could get it to work was to copy .desktop files into my /home/user/Desktop folder.

is this a way to add shortcuts fro easydeb installed programs to the maemo desktop? Can you elaborate on how that command works I'd love to add an "Audacity" shortcut to my Maemo desktop :P

I think you want Personal Launcher for adding to the desktop. I assume the command would be simply:

debbie audacity

I don't use Personal Launcher, but I use Personal Menu which is for the left pane. Every time I install a program to Easy Debian I add an item like this to Personal Menu.

dantonic:

Install "Personal Menu" from the repositories. It is very easy to add menu items to that menu.
