I've got a n810 for already for almost two years, but I've never really used the forum. However, that has all changed since I preordered the n900. Since then I've been hanging on the forum every day, eagerly sucking up all news I could find. Thought I should finally come out of the shadows and say hello.

Hello everyone,
I just registered and I hope to contribute to the development and progress of this wonderful platform as maemo.
I have owned in the past, the Nokia N770 and N810, but I've never developed for these devices, only for symbian.
Now I have a project in mind for maemo, I hope are useful to all.

Hey everyone,
I'm Robert, and I live in Perth, Australia (West Coast). I'm studying Mechatronic Engineering at Curtin University of Technology. I run GNU/Linux, program a bit and can't wait for my shiny new (preordered) N900.
I hope to write at least one shiny new app in Qt and to use my N900 as a replacement for my laptop at Uni sometimes (lecture notes, web, IM, etc.).
I would like to get octave working on the N900.
*Runs away to SDK*

Wow after about 15 years I'm back programming on a unix environment! Why . . . because the future of OS just got interesting and if nokia, apple, google, palm can agree and unite on a base MS may just have a real competitor!
