My parents will go to Germany next week ( hope the device releases because i just missed the chance to get it from new york =( ) and i read that german keyboard is different than normal qwerty such as arrow keys. my question is is that true, if it is is there any chance that my parents get a normal one from germany? i dont want to wait for it to come to turkey it could took 3-4 months

Sure it is different (having "german umlauts" like ä,ö and ü and the ß), while "y" and "z" are exchanged. You won't find § on a QWERTY keyboard either.

And yes, I think chances are rather slim to get a QWERTY keyboard in Germany - we need our umlauts on a daily base.

you could order it from the uk online, you would pay additional taxes then...

Are there any kind of confirmed, official pictures from Nokia for the different N900 keyboard layouts?

This Forum is topranked at google for this topic. But without answers. Speculative answers, guessing and photos from different layouts. But the only thing you can find using google or the search an this forum for a german layout is from Amazon. Not a confirmed, official picture from Nokia.

In that case, no, at least, i havnt seen it. seen some stuff on n900 though. sorry, but i thought you were searching for a practical answer.
