Hi, Im new here, but found something interesting and wanted to see your views on it. but a seller on ebay is selling the phone and he/she has received 2 positive feedbacks on the phone he has sold, so does that mean he has the phone and the buyers have received the phones? here is his feedback page:

Hi Sal - try not to post in two threads with the same thing - most people here will be reading both

No idea on the ebay thing - but i'm sure the ebay link will create a nice heated debate!

Hello,

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced in this case, Amazon.com customers are not placed in a line to order not yet released items. When pre-order items are released they are prepared for shipment and shipped according to the ship plan that is sent when the released date is known. "Nokia N900 Unlocked Cell Phone/Mobile Computer" hasn't been released yet and the expected release date is not known. We'll make sure to update our website listing when we know more.

If you need to make any changes to your order, you can view the Order Summary here:

One of our aims at Amazon.com is to provide a convenient and efficient service; in this case, we haven't met that standard. I'm truly sorry, and I hope you'll give us another chance in the future.

Please let us know if this e-mail resolved your question:

I got the same email. I'm most likely NOT going to cancel the pre-ordered I made on 9/14/2009, so I can get the phone within the first batch of shipments. I am not cancelling and reordering to get the phone after XMAS!

Are you talking about technological advances? Because if you are, then you're right on that part--the US however accounts for being Nokia's biggest revenue country so on that part, the US still takes the cake. The US as a State ( EU doesn't count ), also accounts for the most smartphone use per capita. Nokia definitely would like a bigger share of that market here in the US.

* Revenue source: Nokia quarterly releases

* Smartphone source: Gizmodo, Engadget, Foxnews, CNET
