I got one when i received the message as it's the only screen protector available in north America right now...

Maybe I'll get a different front one later!
To save looking it up you can use the discount code INVISI20 to get 20% discount. The price quoted about of $24.99 is for full body protection not just the screen. Personally I'm thinking of invisibleshield for body and either bare screen or possibly a different protector if Zagg one makes the device insensitive.

I think the full body coverage includes hte screen protector. At least that's what their depiction seems to show.

It does (or did with both the n800 and n810, as well as the ipod touch).

There's been no impairment with the sensitivity of the touchscreen after putting one on my n810. There might be a slight distortion when trying to view at extreme angles, but it's past the angle at which you'd be able to discern the screen anyway.

The body is cosmetic, the screen is critical. Putting one on the body and taking no precautions with the screen is ill-advised. I recognize that the screen is fairly durable out-of-the-box, but there's absolutely no way I'm not putting something on it. Nice thing with the zagg is you do it once.

Well have fun..trying.

On the plus side, they really do work. It's just that I don't think they were made for touchscreens in mind, the commercial itself says that they were developed for the military. It would be good for the body of the n900, not the touchscreen itself. Hence why I'm not going with InvisibleShield again.
If screen protectors lower the precision, then how exactly is the Durasec going to be different from the Zagg?

Not all screen protectors are like that. just ZAGG. Their screen protector is meant for protecting body rather than screen. It feels sticky unlike others for example the regular iphone's screen protector. Plus it won't look good all the time, you'll see partial cloudy on the screen with ZAGG. Thus, I would recommend go with different brand of screen protector that doesn't have the sticky feel. You'll regret it, trust me.

If you guys and gals can wait a short bit, we'll have a far less expensive option with the same quality and that will be "bestskinsever"

I've already contacted them and will be sending my device to them as soon as it arrives which will hopefully be soon since I ordered with Dell and they are reported to be shipping now.

I for one love best skins. All my devices are covered with them. I have an Ipod touch which is two years old covered with bestskins ever and still looks great!

I'm a big fan of Martin Fields myself, but only have experience with them on my N95.
I will definitely give them a try for the N900 as well... as soon as they have a shield available for it!

Just another shout out for Martin Fields... I've had them on my past 4 or 5 phones and they're great. Customer service is good too.

I emailed them and asked when the N900 one would be out and they said they were waiting for a device to use as a template. If I get my N900 before MF has them I might just have to order them from somewhere else...

Edit: The one thing I dislike about MF is that all their stuff gets shipped from Singapore or Hong Kong. I've never used Best Skins Ever but on their site I saw:
All of our Skins are designed and produced in the USA, right here in Colorful Colorado.
I too am here in "colorful Colorado" so I might just give them a try this time!
