Hi,
Maemo noob here: I'm using the N900. I know the app manager will update apps you have installed, but I was wondering what happens if you install something from extras-devel and at a later date it gets put into the stable extras repository? Will the app manager then update it to the non-development (stable) version, or are apps tied to the repository you got them from in the first place?
Cheers

If the app appears in stable extras, and has a later version number, then the stable one will replace the -devel one. Apps have no knowledge of which repository they were installed from in the first place.
