You know, you don't really "download" the repositories. You put in proper addresses in maemo-mapper's settings. Whatever you're doing, try it with respect to maps from a non-Google repository. I'd start from scratch and follow Fragos step-by-step. I would ignore GPS until you have SOME map showing. Make your first download very modest, just very large scale, continent-size.
OK, do this:
Zoom out until you are at Zoom level 18 (it doesn't matter that you see nothing but black, it should still show zoom level when you change levels). Go to Menu >> Maps and click Yahoo Satellite, so it has a dot next to it.
Next go to Maps >> Manage Maps ... Under Setup tab, you should have selected Download Maps and By Area
(I'm assuming you have a wifi connection active.)
In Zoom tab, check off only 18, 19, and 20. Click OK.
You still don't see anything?

So, thereīs probably a thread that i havenīt found with the information i need, but since i havenīt found maybe some one could indicate it for me.
Anyway, i looked into the repositories thread, and a lot of others threads including outside information and i still canīt manage to get maemo mapper working on my n810.
I tried to download automatically the repositories, from the n810, but it just keeps giving me fail notices. I tried downloading them from threads or websites but it has been in vain.
So, iīm gonna travel after x-mas and i would like it very much if i could get this darn thing to work till then.
If anyone could help me make this work i would very much appreciate it.
By the way, when i start maemo mapper it just gives me a black screen, i am connected on the internet and on the gps, but it just gives me a black screen and a fail to download repositories.
well, thanks in advance!!
Christian.
