What to say, perhaps Nokia didn't mantain the promise
No that's not what I said. I said I bought the N900 but I haven't received it yet (still waiting).

Also after what I have read on the nokia usa site with ovi suite it doesn't seem that the N900 have problem with pim for task, notes etc

Well, it ain't so for PC Suite. Maybe true for Ovi suite, but that currently does not support n900.

for the N900 and it say the following: synchronize contacts, calendar, todo, notes, images & video MS outlook 2000-2007 so that should pim everything. Haven't try it still waiting my N900 but maybe they have updated the nokia ovi suite to take care of the N900
Anyone with N900 tried it with Ovi suite as per link provided by JD2010

I've been a Windows Mobile user for years, and have relied steadily on Nuevasync, a free service that provides synchronizing of Calendar/Contacts info via Exchange ActiveSync to your Google account.

I configured my N900 to NuevaSync's service last night but couldn't get it working. NuevaSync appears to be seeking testers with N900's in order to produce a fix. I've registered my interest in helping them out, and others might wish to do so in order to speed progress towards a workable solution.

Best,

Sorry but Ovi Suite means syncing via Nokia servers (like google apps or similar)? What's the difference from Ovi suite and PC Suite?

Personally I dislike to sync my data passing for external services like Google or similar. In particular way I dislike this approach because there is no technical limit: way limit the direct pc 2 device sync?

I'm not familiar with Ovi Suite, but it appears that it doesn't support the N900 currently.

I loaded the PC Suite software on my Windows7 laptop last night, and was able to connect/sync via cable & bluetooth using PC Suite and also using Windows7's built in Sync feature.

Best,
