I just realised that I am not able to disable the call forwarding option under Settings/Phone.

I can uncheck the box, I press save, but when get back to the phone options the call forwarding box is checked again.
The "forward to" field displays a number (operator answering machine) the N900 must be getting from the sim card, since I did not put it there.

Anybody else has this issue?

I unchecked the box, save it, go back to phone options, it remains unchecked.

No issue for me.

I'm using O2UK sim card with UK CV device

Thanks, good to know. Maybe it has to do with my sim card then...
I will try to swap it with another one.

Anybody else has the same issue? Actually you won't notice unless you go in phone options and check... I suspect it might not be just me and Peio having this problem.

Well, looks like a bug, right? So bugs.maemo.org would be a good place... :-)
And there it is: https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5607 - fixed internally and fix will be available in the next update.

Why would you want to disable it. It is the feature that forwards your voicemail. I dont think it can be disabled.

Maybe I don't want to forward calls to my voicemail, because then my operator will make me pay to hear the message in the voicemail...

From where I am we dont pay for messages forwarded to voicemails. Maybe you got the US version of the phone.
