hi everyone,

just wanted to anounce you folks, in case there are other users from Romania, that N900 is available from today in the stores. I just got mine a few hours ago and it's awesome overall. still some minor things missing as multiple APNs but it's great, exactly as i expected.
I'm typing from it now, trying to get used to the keyb coming from E90.
BTW, retail price is 530 € including VAT.

Felicitari, Jidi!

It's very weird that this product sells around Europe for so many different prices: UK has it for £499 (~550€) while Nokia France sells it for 659€ (reduced from 759€). Anyone else finding this at least a little awkward?

I think you looked at the online store prices. Apparently nokia sells them more expensive in their online stores, so that other shops (or telephone companies) can sell cheaper. That way nokia encourages a wider availability of their phones
Si abia astept sa imi iau unul

There is no romanian nokia store, just a presentation website. It's probably from some independent retailer.
I found it here, though it costs more like 550 euros

Apparently there's quite a few of them: http://www.nokia.ro/NOKIA_ROMANIA_62...zine_Nokia.pdf

They're distributors. While i guess they do have an agreement with nokia to use the trademark and be listed, they are not directly nokia, like http://shop.nokia.co.uk/, just intermediaries

I wouldn't know, I'm not privy to that much insider info. To a simpleton like me if it looks like a Nokia and it quacks like a Nokia then it must be a Nokia.

Hi, I'm Romanian too. Where did you buy it from? Nokia store has just told me it would not be available until Christmas ...! I'm really waiting for an answer in front of my PC! Thanks a lot!
@MrGrim: the only official / listed Nokia store in RO is Nokia Titan
