Hi, all.

I usually leave my 770 turned on for a day or two before turning it off and charging it. I charged it yesterday and it was working fine. This morning it wouldn't wake up when I touched the screen. I suspected maybe the charge was gone because holding down the power button didn't start it up either.

I plugged it into the charger, but I failed to get the Nokia screen or the charging logo. Is this there something I should try before sending this for a repair?

Thanks,

Killick

Did you try taking the Battery out, waiting a few seconds then putting the battery back in and rebooting ? This workaround has been mentioned in this Forum numerous times. Prior to this post, were you able to search ITT Forum for details regarding how to resolve this issue ?

I did search the forum, but I guess I wasn't using the right terms-- or maybe too many. Sometimes the hardest part about finding information is knowing what call it!

I will take out the battery for a while, replace it, then try again. I really hope that works...

Thanks!

Alright! Thanks. Taking the battery out and replacing it did the trick, but I had to make a trip to the hardware store for a tiny torx screwdriver. I would need one eventually when this battery dies.

Are you saying that you need the Torx Screwdriver to take the battery out ? I can easily take the battery out by slipping off the battery cover. I totally do not understand what exactly you are unscrewing.

I agree, I don't need anything extra except a finger nail at the end of the battery to pull in out.
