FYI, more info for you, the click returned when I restarted the phone - the same terminal command killed it. =)

is there any way to silent the tap sound when u click on screen? there is only 2 profile general and silent, nothing i can change about the key sound or pointing tap sound.

Settings>Profiles>start scrolling down till you see Touch screen sounds.

1) Settings - Profiles
2) Scroll down and click on "Touch screen sounds"
3) Switch it to off.
4) Click Save

...slightly OT, but it also concerns the possibility to turn off sounds:

Is there a way to turn off the NOKIA hymn when booting up the device ?

I know there is a way to do this on the N97, but so far I didn't manage to find anything for the N900.

I'm sure the sound is buried somewhere in the firmware. Maybe a simple matter of finding it and replacing the file with a similarly named blank sound file. :shrug:

With touch screen sounds, key sounds, and system sounds all off I still get the 'tap' sound using the screen. The only way I can get rid of it is by using silent.
